This piano studio has several rooms with different types of pianos. The one used for my lesson is spacious with two grand pianos. Ms. Kayo is fun and kind and gives me very helpful instructions both technical and musical. She encourages me to try variety of music pieces so I won’t get bored. I’m over 50 and still feel I can improve my piano skills under her instruction!

Kayo piano studio is highly recommended! My daughter is 8 year old now.She has been taking piano lesson for around one year. She started by reading music notes and her piano has really improved very fast. Ms.Kayo is not only teaching techniques but also playing piano with sensitivity and emotion by understanding the music. She really enjoys playing piano,thanks to Ms.Kayo. When she gets new sheet music that looks so difficult, I don’t think she can do it.But she can!! Ms.Kayo is really great teacher!!! I’m always looking forward to what kind of song she will play next!

My daughter has been starting piano lessons with Ms. Kayo when she was 5 years old. When she started, she couldn’t do anything and also she was very shy so I thought she might be not able to play the piano. However Ms. Kayo taught her patiently and kindly and passed 3 years now. Of course she can reading music notes and Ms.Kayo teaching her more than techniques that is understanding the music and also playing piano with sensitivity, expressively and emotionally.

My son (6yo) started piano lessons with Ms. Kayo 9 months ago. He only had 4 months of piano experience prior to starting at Kayo Piano Studio, but he has improved very quickly since then. Ms. Kayo pushes my son by giving him new songs at every lesson, and she makes sure he can correct his mistakes during the lesson by making him play over and over. Even though he sometimes has trouble getting it at the lesson, he usually play correctly on the very next day, indicating Kayo's method works!
She also holds a student recital at the end of year where every student can perform. It is quite impressive to see many wonderful performances of her students. I highly recommend Kayo Piano Studio for aspiring piano students!

My 7 year old daughter has been taking piano lessons with Ms.Kayo for about 2 years now, and her playing has improved immensely since then, thanks to Ms.Kayo’s help. She totally got my daughter addicted to playing piano, and now she is obsessed with practicing at home. My daughter made a lot of progress very quickly and was able to perform at several piano competitions and recitals within the past 2 years.

Ms. Kayo is a very patient, supportive, encouraging and incredibly kind teacher. She teaches not only piano techniques, but also how to feel the music and to play expressively. Kayo piano studio is an amazing place where you can learn piano easily, also while having fun! They will teach a wide age range, and is really easy to approach because they have amazing teachers. You can be a beginner, intermediate, or even an advanced piano player, so it is really easy to approach this studio!

I’ve been learning from Kayo sensei (the founder of the studio) for 3 years, and it has been a blast! She teaches with precision, and is very careful and thoughtful when teaching. She teaches in a way you will understand easily! Once you get to know her better, you’ll find out she has a great sense of humor and it’s really funny, which makes you want to learn more from her. I have been going to competitions and was able to get awards because of her! Since she is a great teacher, I definitely recommend!!

Mrs. Kayo is a wonderful piano teacher. My two sons and I have been taking lessons from her for just over one year. She not only teaches how to read and execute the notes, but also how to feel and interpret the music so that it sings. She selects pieces that are beautiful for my kids to play and challenge them to improve. I am an adult student who didn’t play for decades since childhood. She has helped me learn pieces that I always dreamed of playing. Each lesson is very productive and efficient. I get useful advice about technique, phrasing, voicing, rubato, expression and more. Even when I haven’t practiced, she helps me make progress reading new passages and will often play one hand on the teaching piano while I play the other hand on the student piano in her studio. She also organizes an annual December recital for all students and helps prepare the kids for competitions throughout the year. My kids and I look forward to our lessons and practice. Mrs. Kayo inspires us to love playing piano.

Kayo expects much of her students. She doesn't waste time talking about abstractions but, rather, has the student actually play for most of the lesson and offers point-by-point instruction. Because of this, if a student applies him/herself, the student will see improvement. She expects students to work hard and to translate their love of piano into actually playing musical pieces well. Her approach seems to work well with both children and adults.
